DI Defender Mr. Adham Tobail held seminars and meetings for youth, students and women in the Occupied Territory, in cooperation with other civil society organisations.

Next week civil society in Norway and Denmark will join 70 countries around the world to mark the Global Week of Action Against Gun Violence. Defend International is calling on national leaders to push for a strong and effective Arms Trade Treaty through the United Nations.

Defend International and Unge for Menneskerettigheder Denmark will be hosting “2008 Global Week of Action Against Gun Violence: Effect of Guns on Women’s Lives.” The event will take place in Copenhagen on 5 June 2008. Guest speaker is the Danish author Ms. Lillian Simonsen.
