Defend International condemned the executions of two Kurdish political activists, both convicted of being “mohareb,” enemies of God. They were tortured, denied fair trails, and forced to ‘confess’ under duress. Thus, the Iranian authorities are guilty of acts of cruelty that are in violation of international law.

Defend International (DI) issues a comprehensive security resolution strongly condemning the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks and announces the launch of its global mobilization campaign, “Save the Free World: Ensure the Security of Civilians.” The initiative outlines urgent multilateral policy mandates, targeting the absolute protection of civil society, rigorous monitoring of extremist infrastructure, and the enforcement of proactive statutory counter-terrorism measures.

Defend International launches the worldwide campaign “Save The Yazidis: The World Has To Act Now” to raise awareness about the tragedy of the Yazidis and the humanitarian emergency that continues to unfold.

DI is alarmed over the humanitarian tragedy in Iraq and urges the international community to intervene with urgency. “Militants seem to be involved in acts that may constitute crimes against humanity and/or crimes against human diversity, and such acts must be investigated immediately” said Dr. Widad.
