Co-founder of Defend International, Dr. Widad Akreyi, has issued a statement in which she condemned the targeting of innocent civilians and reiterated her call for a peaceful solution to the crisis.

The NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security has released the May 2022 Monthly Action Points on Women, Peace and Security for the UN Security Council.

“Our hearts are with the Norwegian nation,” said Dr. Widad Akreyi in one of the most powerful statements condemning the violence that took place in Oslo when a gunman opened fire at a club.
