Terrorism is one of the major threats to international peace and security, and the United Nations plays a leading role in the fight against it. This publication is a compilation of the many instruments that have been adopted by the international community covering various aspects of terrorism, including global treaties combating international terrorism, instruments adopted at the regional level, recent United Nations declarations on the prevention and suppression of international terrorism, texts of substantive Security Council resolutions, and some extracts of international treaties relating to the question. This two volume fourth updated edition of the compendium is intended to be used as a general work of reference.
